Pastoral visit at St. Luke Parish – Mishikishi Mission.

Today, was a special day for Mishikishi Mission,the lay-faithful came for different centers to not only celebrate the Feast of St. Luke but to also witness 54 candidates for confirmation receive the sacrament. candidates from the parish and centers camped at the mission for 4 days in preparation for this important occasion.

The Joyful day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. It was celebrated by the Director Social- Rev. Fr. Francis Mukosa, who was standing in for His Grace Archbishop Dr. Alick Banda, and co-celebrated by Rev. Fr. Rafiki and Rev. Fr. Ndeke.

The readings where taken -First Reading: Exodus 17: 8-13, Second Reading: Second Timothy 3: 14 – 4: 2  and Gospel: Luke 18: 1-8.

The homily was  given by Rev. Fr. Hilary Ndeke.

Then confirmations commenced

communion soon followed.

mass ended joyful with the final blessing.

After Mass Executive members and leaders met with Rev. Fr. Mukosa and Rev. Fr. Rafiki for a Q&A session, during which their report to the diocese was reviewed and leaders had an opportunity to air their views, ideas, and challenges concerning the mission. Below are a few highlights.
