We ensure manpower training and development plans and strategies are effectively implemented to enable the Catholic Diocese of Ndola  achieve its skilled manpower requirements, objectives and desired levels of employees’ performance, for both those on self – sponsorship and institutional – sponsorship.  Our role is to provide sound advice to both the Management of Catholic Diocese of Ndola and employees on industrial relations and personnel policies, in order to promote and maintain industrial harmony and understanding. This has helped to maintain a sound employer – employee working relationship whose fruits are visible in responsible stewardship, team work and mutual accountability towards self and others.

Rationale
The Diocese of Ndola, through its various institutions, programmes, projects and homes has engaged a lot of people to support its work. Its workers consist of personnel from the clergy and religious who are appointed by the Bishop, lay staff who are on contracts and volunteers who are working at the community levels. To effectively utilize the workforce at various levels, for organizational purposes, there is need to implement systems and policies that address key issues in the management, that is, rewarding and motivation of staff at all levels.

The department controls staff movements by implementing proper administrative procedures such as leave applications, permission forms, travel arrangements, medical attendance forms, salary advance forms and any other necessary administrative documents as tools to ensure accountability at all costs.
