CWO Jubilee Pilgrimage.
On 1st November 2025, which also marked the solemnity of All Saints, the Catholic Women’s Organization (CWO) of the Archdiocese of Ndola held a vibrant Jubilee Year of Hope Pilgrimage. The pilgrimage began at the Green Village, where the women gathered in prayer and song before walking in procession to the Cathedral of Christ the King. Upon arrival, they reverently entered through the Holy Door, symbolizing renewal, hope, and the journey of faith. The solemn Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, who led the faithful in thanksgiving and reflection. Among the clergy present were Rev. Fr. Cornelius Chibamba, National Pastoral Director; Rev. Fr. Ephraim Mapulanga, Archdiocesan Pastoral Director; Rev. Fr. Katongo Nkole, Biblical Manager; Rev. Fr. Thomas Chunika, Catechetical Manager and Ndola Dean; Rev. Fr. Mukuka, Archdiocesan Exorcist; Fr. Kabamba, and Fr. Katongo Mukuka. In his powerful homily, Archbishop Phiri urged the faithful to emulate the lives of the saints by living lives of authenticity and virtue. He emphasized that Christians must be genuine, that what they portray outwardly should reflect who they truly are. He called on the women to use their God-given gifts and talents in humility and service, warning against pride and hypocrisy. The Archbishop reminded all that conversion begins in the home and that kindness and forgiveness are essential virtues for those seeking to enter heaven, and without these they may not enter. The celebration concluded joyfully leaving the faithful inspired and renewed in hope.
