Sr. Natasha Kalasa SJB makes Final Vows.

On 1st November 2025, the Catholic community of Holy Savior Parish in Chingola gathered in joyful celebration as Sr. Natasha Kalasa of the Sisters of John the Baptist Congregation made her Final Vows, committing her life fully to God and the service of His Church. The solemn Mass was celebrated by the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, who stood in for the Archbishop, Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. He was warmly welcomed by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Henry Tyola, and Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Enock Kapambwe. In his homily, the Vicar General spoke on the importance of following Jesus as the perfect model for daily living. He urged the faithful to emulate Christ—the King who cared deeply for others and treated everyone with dignity, even though He possessed all power and authority. The humility of Jesus, he said, should be the standard for every Christian, as His way of leading was never oppressive but filled with grace and compassion. Addressing Sr. Kalasa directly, he encouraged her to remain open to learning from others while staying true to herself and her vocation. He reminded her to make Christ alone her standard, not to compete or compare with others, but to embrace her unique gifts and talents as expressions of God’s purpose in her life. The ceremony concluded with a spirit of thanksgiving and joy as the faithful rejoiced with Sr. Kalasa for her courageous “yes” to God’s call.
