5th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass.

5th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass.

The Cathedral of Christ the King in Ndola was filled with joy, prayer, and thanksgiving as His Grace, Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, celebrated a solemn Mass to mark the 5th anniversary of his installation as Archbishop of Ndola Archdiocese. The milestone occasion drew clergy, religious, and the faithful who gathered to give thanks to God for the Archbishop’s ministry and leadership. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri spoke passionately about the importance of being faithful to one’s Christian calling. He reminded the congregation that every believer must make a clear choice in life—to live for God or for the evil one—and to remain committed to that choice with courage and consistency. “As Christians, we cannot walk on two paths,” he said, urging all to live lives rooted in truth, faith, and integrity. He also humbly asked the faithful to continue praying for him, that he may remain steadfast and focused in his mission of pointing souls to Christ, without being distracted or overtaken by the passing things of this world. His words resonated deeply, serving both as a personal reflection and a pastoral exhortation to the entire Archdiocese. The celebration itself was colourful and spirit-filled, with vibrant music, prayerful participation, and a strong sense of unity among the faithful. It was a moment not only to honor Archbishop Phiri’s five years of dedicated service but also to renew the collective commitment of the Church in Ndola to walk faithfully in Christ’s mission.
