Cholera Epidemic -Lifting the ban on Meetings at Parishes.

MEMO

TO: ALL DEANS, PARISH PRIESTS, PARISH LEADERS, LAY GROUPS AND MOVEMENTS

CC: BISHOP’S OFFICE
DIRECTOR – PASTORAL
DIRECTOR – SOCIAL PROGRAMMES & PROJECTS
DIRECTOR – PMS
PROCURATOR GENERAL

FROM: VICAR GENERAL

DATE: 22nd JANUARY 2018

SUBJECT: LIFTING THE BAN ON MEETINGS AT PARISHES

Refer to the above captioned. Following the memo sent to all Parishes, dated 5th January 2018, in the light of the positive developments with regard to the Cholera Epidemic Control and assurance coming from the Government and local Authorities; the Catholic Diocese of Ndola has lifted the ban on all the meetings in the parishes, with immediate effect. This means Parishes shall revert to their normal gatherings and meetings since the Cholera Epidemic has been contained.

However, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola is urging and insisting on the maintenance of good sanitation and clean environment in our parishes. Therefore, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola is requesting all Parishes to have a day in a month, when all parishioners can come together to clean the Parish environment. Please ensure that all the ablution blocks have soap and water at all times.

Your cooperation is greatly anticipated.

Sincerely yours,
Catholic Diocese of Ndola
Very Rev. Fr. Tresphor Mutale.
VICAR GENERAL
