Confirmation Mass at Fatima Girls Secondary School.
On 26th October 2025, the Vicar General- Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, standing in for the Archbishop of Ndola- Most rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD , celebrated a joyful Confirmation Mass at Fatima Girls’ Secondary School. He was warmly welcomed by the Headmistress, Sr. Emma Malisawa, staff, and students. The colorful celebration was beautifully animated by the all-student choir and Stellas. During the ceremony, the Vicar General conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on 28 candidates, witnessed by proud family members who had traveled from afar. In his homily, the Vicar General encouraged the students and faithful not to compare themselves with others but to embrace their God-given uniqueness. He reminded the newly confirmed that the Holy Spirit empowers them to serve the Church through their gifts and talents, urging them to take an active role in the evangelization of God’s Word. He further reminded them never to lose their identity in Christ, even in the face of life’s challenges, and to remain steadfast in faith. The mass is an expression of the growing Catholic faith within the Church amongst the youth.
