Dominican Sisters Celebrate Silver Jubilee of Religious Life.
The Cathedral of Christ the King in Ndola was filled with joy and thanksgiving as four Dominican Sisters — Sr. Susan Mwamba, OP, Sr. Chanda Chishimba, OP, Sr. Martha Mphanza, OP, and Sr. Chama Mwila, OP — celebrated their Silver Jubilee of religious life. The special Mass was presided over by the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, who represented Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. The Eucharistic celebration was graced by the presence of about ten priests, fellow religious, family members, and lay faithful who gathered to thank God for the sisters’ 25 years of faithful service to the Church and humanity. The atmosphere was one of gratitude, song, and celebration as the congregation rejoiced with the jubilarians. In his homily, Fr. Mutachila reflected on the virtue of humility, reminding the sisters and all present that “in His time, God raises the humble.” He noted that reaching 25 years in religious life is a profound testimony of God’s grace and perseverance, as many begin the journey but not all are able to complete it.
