Easter Sunday Mass 2026.

Easter Sunday Mass 2026.

On 5th April 2023, Ndola Archbishop, Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, celebrated Easter Sunday Mass at Holy Trinity Parish. He was warmly welcomed by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Henry Mulenga. The celebration was vibrant and joyful, enriched by beautiful singing from Ba Buomba, the parish choir, and the Stellas, creating a truly uplifting Easter atmosphere. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri cautioned the faithful against taking the Easter season lightly by returning to the sins and habits they had renounced during Lent. He emphasized the importance of taking an active role in the life of the Church and called on Christians to have deep reverence for the Seven Sacraments, noting that failure to honor them could lead to spiritual condemnation. He further warned against the growing tendency of normalizing sin, where people are more concerned about being seen or judged by others rather than by God, who sees and knows all. He reminded the faithful that truly celebrating the Resurrection means living in obedience to God—choosing to do good, walking in righteousness, and reflecting Christ in everyday life. The Archbishop also strongly discouraged gossip and the destruction of others’ reputations, especially in workplaces, urging believers to build one another up instead of tearing each other down. After the homily, he proceeded to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to 29 candidates. The Mass concluded joyfully, marking a meaningful and spiritually enriching celebration of Easter for the parish community.
