 Jubilee Pilgrimage for Seminarians.

Today, 20th August 2025, the Seminarians of the Archdiocese of Ndola and all those in formation within the Archdiocese gathered for a Pilgrimage under the theme “We Are Seminarians, Seeds of Hope.” The spiritual journey began with a solemn procession from Poteco Group along Kabompo Road, leading to the Cathedral of Christ the King. Upon arrival, the pilgrims entered through the Doors of Hope, marking the beginning of the Holy Mass presided over by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. In his homily, the Archbishop offered fatherly counsel to the seminarians, urging them to remain resolute in their vocation and to avoid vices that can derail their calling. He reminded them to know who they are, what they represent, and to strive always to be a good and inspiring representation of Christ to the world. Archbishop Phiri further expressed his vision for a future generation of priests who are highly disciplined, Highly trained, and highly motivated in their service to God and the Church. He emphasized that seminarians are indeed the future of the Catholic Church, noting that without priests, there is no Eucharist, the heart of Catholic worship. “A building is only as strong as its foundation,” he said, stressing that seminarians form a critical part of the Church’s foundation and must therefore be spiritually and morally strong. The Mass was filled with joy and reverence, enriched by the angelic voices of an all-seminarian choir, whose singing elevated the celebration and left the faithful inspired.
