Little Servants of Divine Providence Open New House.
On 15th October 2025, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Ndola, Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, celebrated a special Mass for the Divine Sisters of Providence to bless and officially open their new house along Kabwe Road in Ndola. The congregation, which originates from India, is relatively new in the Archdiocese and is known for its compassionate service to the poor and vulnerable children. The event began with a joyful Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Vicar General, who represented Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, currently bereaved. The Mass was concelebrated by nine priests, including the Treasurer General of the Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Nsonga, who joined in support of the sisters. During his homily, Fr. Mutachila commended the sisters for their dedication and hard work in serving the needy, urging them to continue placing their trust in God’s providence. He also reminded them to cultivate good relationships within their community, guided by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” After Mass, the Vicar General led the official opening ceremony by cutting the ribbon and blessing the house with holy water and incense, both inside and outside. The celebration concluded with a delightful meal shared among guests and clergy.
