Seminarian Fund Presentation 2025

Seminarian Fund Presentation 2025

On August 30, 2025, the Archdiocese of Ndola held its annual Seminarian Fund Presentation at the Don Bosco School grounds in Chingola. The event, organized by the Catholic Women’s Organizations, drew thousands of women from across all ten deaneries, alongside priests, religious men and women, and the Lay-faithful. The day was guided by the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” The occasion began with a solemn and spirit-filled Mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Ndola, Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri commended the women for their remarkable efforts, congratulating them for the great work of evangelization. He reminded them that even within their homes they are life-givers, and in the Church they give life to priests by supporting the training of seminarians. He encouraged them to continue working hard, assuring them that their sacrifices are a vital contribution to the growth of the Church. Following the Eucharistic celebration, the faithful gathered in joyful anticipation for the highlight of the day—the presentation of the cheque and awards for outstanding fundraising efforts. The atmosphere was filled with unity and celebration as the women, who had worked tirelessly throughout the year, were recognized for their contributions to the training of seminarians. This year’s efforts culminated in the presentation of a record-breaking K5,746,579.75, generously raised and donated by the Catholic Women’s Organizations. The awards ceremony was equally uplifting, with deaneries, parishes, outstations, and missions being honored for their exceptional dedication to the cause. Each recognition inspired a spirit of healthy competition and encouraged even greater unity among the faithful in the mission of supporting vocations. Best Contributing Deanery – Chingola Deanery.
