On 7th August 2022, the Bishop of Ndola Diocese- Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, visited St. Nicolas Catholic Church in Chambishi. His visit was to bless the new church building which included consecrating the Altar. The lay-faithful gathered in numbers to witness this important ceremony, that was performed during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Bishop Dr. Phiri explained in homily that blessing of the church building meant that it could not be used for other functions apart from worship. He also took time to bless couples who have been in marriage of 25 years and longer, to encourage and strengthen them in their vocation. Below are a few highlights of the colorful mass.
