Christmas Day Mass

Christmas Day Mass

Today, on the 25th of December 2023, St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Mushili reverberated with the joyous melodies of Christmas hymns as the community gathered for a special Christmas Mass.

The celebration was presided over by the esteemed Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, Bishop of Ndola. The mass was concelebrated by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Mwansa, alongside Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Musenge and Fr. Hillary.

A highlight of the festive occasion was the sacrament of confirmation conferred upon 56 candidates during the Mass. The newly anointed members of the faith added an extra layer of joy and significance to the ceremony.

In his heartfelt homily, Bishop Phiri spoke eloquently about the true essence of Christmas – a time for reflection and appreciation of God’s boundless love. He earnestly urged the congregation to repent and embrace Christ as their Lord and Savior, emphasizing the transformative power of faith.

Post-Mass, Bishop Phiri extended his blessings to the recently refurbished Grotto, symbolizing a renewed dedication to the parish’s spiritual sanctity. St. Peter the Apostle Parish truly embodied the joy and spirit of Christmas on this memorable day.
