Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul
We celebrate the conversion of St. Paul – a man who had such a strong hatred of all that Jesus stood for. He had even the audacity to go into houses of Christians and “dragging them out – men and women,” and “handing them over for imprisonment” (Acts 8:3).
However, at the hour of reckoning, as Saul was on his way to Damascus to arrest more disciples of Jesus. There came a light from heaven that dazzled him and left him blind and fell to the ground. In that moment he heard: “Saul, Saul why are you persecuting Me?”
