Good Friday Service- 2022

Today, 15th April 2022, is Good Friday. A Good Friday is the day on which we commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ. It is the only day of the year when the Church does not celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. At the Cathedral of Christ, the King, the day began with Prayers and confessions in the morning and succeeded by the Stations of the Cross, as the lay-faithful journeyed with Jesus up to Calvary. After the Stations of the cross, a liturgical service was conducted led by His Lordship Bishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri during which the Cross was venerated by all the clergy, Religious and Lay faithful present. Veneration of the Cross demonstrates our reverence for the wood of the cross through which we receive salvation. Below are highlights.
