Lay-Counselling Training.

On 5th September 2019, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola in partnership with Expanded Church Response conducted a training in lay counselling for Caregivers in the 3 towns of the Copperbelt province namely Ndola, Kitwe and Mufulira.
The training is aimed at building capacities of caregivers in the service deliver though psycho-social counselling. The total number of Caregivers being trained is 64; Male 8 and Female 56.

The project has a total number of 20,000 orphans and vulnerable children apportioned as follows, Ndola has 10 000, Kitwe 8000 and Mufurila 2000. The following are services provided by caregivers through home visitation;

1. Psycho-social counselling
2. Child protection
3. Health
4. Food and nutrition
5. Education and skills training.
