Mass for Consecrated Men and Women.

Mass for Consecrated Men and Women.

The Catholic Diocese of Ndola joined the rest of the Catholic Church to celebrate Consecrated life. This Day was instituted by Pope Saint John Paul II in 1997 for women and men in consecrated life. This celebration is attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd. This Feast is also known as Candlemas Day; the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples. Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, Bishop of Ndola Diocese, on 2nd February 2023, celebrated Mass with the Consecrated. Mass began with a rite at entrance of the church during which Bishop Dr. Phiri Blessed the Candles of all the Consecrated gathered. It was succeeded by a procession in to the church, where the candles were placed at the altar. Clergy, Religious men and women and other Communities from across Ndola Diocese attended this colorful eucharistic Celebration, that was held at Sacred heart Parish in Kitwe. Thereafter, a Luncheon was prepared for all the Consecrated men and women. Below are some highlights
