Pastoral Visit at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, Kawama

Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, Bishop of Ndola Diocese, embarked on a pastoral visit to St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish in Kawama, an occasion marked by spiritual enrichment and community empowerment.
During the Mass, Bishop Phiri conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation upon 11 candidates and commissioned 25 communion helpers, 5 sacristans, and 3 prayer leaders.
Welcomed warmly by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Rafiki Epimaque, Bishop Phiri delivered a poignant homily emphasizing the importance of authenticity in Christian living, urging parishioners to shun double lives and embrace purity and holiness. He reminded them of the significance of the Lenten season as a time for sincere repentance and renewal of commitment to God.
The visit not only strengthened the spiritual bonds within the parish but also provided guidance and encouragement to the Kawama catholic community.
