Final Profession of Sr. Getrude Chileshe.

Today, 22nd May 2021, was a joyful day for the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi (FMSA) as one of their sisters, Sr. Getrude Chileshe made her final profession. The colourful event was held at St. Anthony of Padua parish, Kansenshi –Ndola under the Theme “NOT TO US LORD NOT TO US BUT TO YOUR NAME BE GLORY”. The Eucharist celebration was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri- Bishop of Ndola Diocese and was co-celebrated by Director Pastoral- Rev. Fr. Mathews Mumba, Provincial Superior of the Conventual Franciscan Friars – Rev. Fr. Ferena Lambe and the clergy. In attendance was Provincial superior- St. Margret Mweshi, religious Men and women and the laity.
The Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi take a maximum period of 9 years to make their final profession, this includes 4 years of formation and 5 years of Juniorate.
