Holy Childhood Day Performances.
Following the solemn Mass that marked Holy Childhood Day in the Archdiocese of Ndola, the day continued with exciting performances by children from all ten deaneries, each presenting creative expressions of the event’s theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.” The post-Mass program was energetically MC’d by Rev. Fr. Boris Mapili, Holy Childhood Chaplain, alongside PMS Director, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Bwalya, who kept the children engaged with humour, singing, and even dancing with them, bringing joy and connection to the lively gathering. Each deanery delivered outstanding performances that included traditional and liturgical dances, uplifting songs about hope and faith, and heartfelt poems on the importance of remaining strong in the Catholic faith. The children demonstrated discipline, creativity, and deep understanding of their faith, impressing the audience with their confidence and spiritual enthusiasm. The presentations were colourful and well-organized, with every performance reflecting the children’s commitment to being young missionaries and joyful witnesses of the Gospel. The day ended on a high note, filled with laughter, applause, and a sense of spiritual accomplishment. As the children, chaplains, animators, and parents departed, there was a shared sentiment that the future of the Catholic Church in Zambia is indeed bright, with such faith-filled, hopeful young hearts leading the way. It was a day well spent, celebrating unity, mission, and the joyful spirit of the Church’s youngest members.
