Pastoral Visit at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Mikomfwa-Luanshya

On March 17th, 2024, Bishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD graced St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Luanshya with his pastoral presence. Welcomed warmly by parish priest Fr. Luke Chilambwe, the visit was marked by profound sacramental moments. Bishop Phiri administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 28 candidates and commissioned 17 communion helpers. In his homily, Bishop Phiri emphasized the significance of Lent, urging the faithful not to merely go through the motions but to earnestly embrace the season of reflection and repentance. He underscored the importance of living out one’s Christianity authentically, emphasizing that actions speak louder than words. His message resonated with a call to shun duplicity and live lives that reflect true Christian values. After Mass the Rev. Fr. Chilambwe, commission the newly built ablution block.
