Pastoral Visit to St. Andrew the Apostle, Ndola.
Today, 6th June 2021, St. Andrew the Apostle Mwange –A in Ndola had a lot to celebrate. The parish that has been an outstation of Francisdale Mission has finally been upgraded to an independent Parish. Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, Bishop of Ndola Celebrated Mass with the joyful parishioners and installed Rev. Fr. Katongo Mulenga as the first ever Parish Priest of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Rev. Fr. Augustine Mwewa – Parish Priest of St. Ignatius Parish, Tug-Argan and his Parish Executive took time to support their sister Parish. Bishop Dr. Phiri took time to bless the new Administration Block that has been built at the parish. After mass Bishop Dr. Phiri was accompanied by Col. Peter Matembeka- the Battalion Commander (1 commando Unit) together with his entourage to visit the Bishop’s old military training camp where he was stationed 42 years ago, at the commando barrack. A lovely luncheon was held at the Banquet hall at the end of the eventful day. Below are a few highlights.
