Monitoring Visit to Chingola District.
From the 18th of May to 22nd of May 2021, a team from Catholic Diocese of Ndola travelled on a 5-day monitoring visit to 4 communities in Chingola Namely: Kalilio, Lulamba- kakalo, Kasompe and Soweto. The visit began with a cutesy call to the District Administrative officer- Mr. Makasa and the District Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator -Dr. Suzyo Muwowo. The team comprised of Gloria Mandeva Mupinga- Monitoring and Evaluation officer, Mr. Grensio Tembo-Human Resource Manager, Mrs. Exhildah Soko -Nurse in charge, Ms. Cecilia Muwowo – Veterinary Assistant and Mr. Ackson Zulu the SILC Coordinator travelled to the communities to monitor the livelihood, Nutrition, water and Sanitation and the saving groups Project.

The group held 6 Focus group discussion with the women Association who are saving their money through SILC and the importance of safe motherhood and under-five clinics, water and sanitation, fish farming, gardening, and chicken rearing, they gave their reports as well as Challenges. This was followed by physical Inspection to their various projects. The team also monitored the nutrition program and focus group discussions were held with the caregivers and beneficiaries were they highlighted that before the project the community had no idea about good nutrition but through cooking demonstrations 85percent of young mothers have learnt how to prepare locally available nutritious meals for their children. Stories of change were shared by the beneficiaries as well as our community Volunteers, at the end of the visit Cups, plates salter scales, Height Measuring Boards and program T-shirts were distributed to the community Volunteers to assist them as their conduct their work. below are the highlights
