HOLY CHILDHOOD MISSION MONTH EVENT
The Archdiocese of Ndola Holy Childhood held a vibrant Mission Month Event at Radio Icengelo Studios, bringing together children from all ten deaneries for a day filled with faith, creativity, and fun. The event featured three major activities; a Singing Festival, Bible Quiz, and Art Exhibition, all aimed at nurturing the missionary spirit among children. Organized by the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) Director, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Bwalya, the event showcased the talent and enthusiasm of young Catholics who represented their deaneries with great pride. The Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr. Thomas Chunika, Archdiocesan Catechetical Manager, commended the children for their dedication and missionary zeal. In the Bible Quiz, Luanshya Deanery emerged victorious, taking first place, followed by Kalulushi Deanery in second, while Kamfinsa and Kitwe Deaneries tied for third. The Art Exhibition saw Kitwe Deanery claim first place, Chingola Deanery second, and Ndola Deanery third. The Art Exhibition judge, Mr. Danny Chiyesu- Mission Press Graphic Designer, praised the children’s creativity and faith-filled artwork. The Singing Competition was judged by Sr. Emelda Kabwe, Sr. Anna Kasonde, Sr. Faustina Kapira, and Sr. Florence Malama, all from the Baptistine Sisters. The day ended in joyful celebration, highlighting the theme of mission through song, scripture, and art.
