MISHIKISHI MISSION RECEIVES BICYCLES.

Today, 17th October 2023, the Vicar General- Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, Procurator General- Rev. Fr. Simplicious Nsonga mediated the handing over of 25 bicycles to St. Luke Mission, Mishikishi. This ceremony took place at the Diocesan curia office Car Park, where the bicycles were received by Parish Priest of St. Luke Mission- Rev. Fr. Tresphore Mutale.

The bicycles are meant for catechist that work in 48 outstations of the mission and have been donated by two parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua in West Harrison, New York, a parish that is run by Rev. Fr. George Kanshamba.

During the Handover ceremony, the Vicar General – Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, thanked the Parish Priest of St. Luke Mission for his initiative to help the work of evangelization by enabling catechist to reach far off outstations. He also thanked Rev. Fr. George Kanshamba for sourcing the funds for the acquisition of the 25 bicycles and encouraged other Priests working in missions to emulate Rev. Fr. Kanshamba and to always remember to support their home dioceses.
