Palm Sunday- [in Pictures]

Today 14th of April 2019 in the Catholic Calendar marks the end of the Lenten season and the beginning of the Holy week with Palm Sunday.  This event is celebrated across many christian denominations to commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.  The Main Celebrant Rev. Fr. Mwansa Mumba began the celebration with a short reflection after the readings were taken and then blessed the Palms that parishioners held up by sprinkling Holy Water on them.

Christians at the Cathedral of Christ the king celebrated this occasion with a procession from the Diocesan offices into the  Dominican convent school hall.

Once inside the hall, the celebration of the Eucharist began. The reading were then taken and the Gospel read by Dc. Shula.

Rev. Fr. Mwansa Mumba then gave an uplifting homily on the forgiveness and reconciliation to God.
