SMA Fathers Mark 50 Years of Service in Zambia.

Today, 9th December 2023, Divine Mercy Parish in Ndola resonated with jubilation as the Society of African Missions (SMA) Fathers commemorated their 50th year of service in Zambia.
The milestone was marked with a heartfelt mass, attended by clergy members who travelled from as far as Ireland and France, underlining the global impact of the SMA Fathers. Representatives from all parishes across Zambia, managed by the SMA Fathers, also joined the celebration.
The SMA Fathers, founded in 1856 by Bishop Melchior de Marion Brésillac, have been an integral part of Zambia since 1973. Over the past five decades, they have tirelessly contributed to the spiritual, educational, and social development of the nation. Their mission, rooted in compassion and service, has left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Bishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, the esteemed Bishop of Ndola Diocese, led the commemorative mass, reflecting on the significant role played by the SMA Fathers in shaping the spiritual landscape of Zambia.
As the SMA Fathers celebrate this remarkable milestone, their legacy continues to inspire a sense of community, compassion, and devotion. The 50th-anniversary celebration is a testament to their enduring commitment to the people of Zambia and a reminder of the positive impact that transcends geographical boundaries.
