St. Nicholas Parish, Pastoral Visitation -[In Pictures]

Pastoral Director Rev. Fr. Mathews Mumba visited St. Nicholas Parish in Ndeke, standing in for His Grace Arch Bishop Dr. Alick Banda.  The Pastoral Visit Began with Mass in which Rev. Fr. Mumba was the Main Celebrant, it was co- celebrated by Rev. Fr. Thomas Makandwe the Parish Priest of St. Nicholas Parish. The event that took place on the 3rd of February 2019 was colorful as 46 candidates for st. Nicholas parish and outstations were conferred the sacrament of confirmation.

Mass began with a welcome from Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Makandwe to Arch Bishop’s Representative Rev. Fr. Mumba, Pastoral Director.  The readings where later taken and the Gospel Read by Deacon Maria-Joseph Phiri.

The Pastoral Director in his Homily preached on being people of Truth. He spoke on taking a stand for the truth and what is right.  He encouraged the confirmation candidate to all ways remain in the truth of God as they begin a new journey in their christian walk. He encouraged them to use the gifts that they will receive to edify the church. He warned them on the dangers of pride and urged them to remain humble in the service of God and the church.

Fr. Mumba later gave  Q& A to test the Candidates Knowledge of the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Mass continued with confirmations.

Offertory, consecration and communion later followed.

Mass ended with a vote of  Thanks for Arch Bishop’s Representaive Rev.Fr. Mumba  and the final Belssing.
