Bishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri Familiarization tour to Bwana Mkubwa Deanery

Today, 26th September 2020, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD made his first visit to  Bwana Mkubwa Deanery, to mark the beginning of his familiarization tour, during which he is expected to visit all 10 deaneries of Ndola Diocese. The event took place at Holy Trinity parish in Masala.  Bishop Dr. Phiri was accompanied by Senior Management; Vicar General- Rev. Fr. Christopher Chowa, Pastoral Director- Rev. Fr. Mathews Mumba and Director Social- Rev. Fr. Francis Mukosa.

The visit began with a short history of Bwana Mkubwa deanery that was given by its Vicar Forane- Rev. Fr. Francis Mukosa. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist then followed immediately afterwards. During His homily Bishop Dr. Phiri challenged Christians to be true to their calling and not wolves in sheep skin. He called for true repentance and conversion, and reminded all present that all things are vanity, that true focus should be on God. After Mass the Bishop met with with various parish leaders and thereafter attended a luncheon. Below are a few highlights.
