Curia Staff End of Year Closing Mass.

The Archdiocese of Ndola held an end-of-year thanksgiving Mass for members of the Curia staff at the Cathedral of Christ the King, presided over by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri. The celebration brought together staff members to thank God for the year that had come to an end and to place the new year under His guidance. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri reflected on the true meaning of Christmas, emphasizing that it is centered on Jesus Christ and not on drunkenness or careless celebrations. He reminded the staff that the end of the year is a sacred moment of gratitude to God for the many blessings received, but also a time for sincere self-examination. He encouraged the Curia staff to reflect on their fidelity to God and to ask themselves whether, through their work, they had truly borne witness to Christ and carried out their responsibilities with integrity and dedication. The Archbishop further called on everyone to see this period as a time of repentance and conversion, urging them to renew their commitment to serving the Church with greater zeal and faithfulness in the coming year. He invited the staff to look ahead with hope, striving to do better and to serve God and His people more wholeheartedly. The Mass concluded in a spirit of fraternity, after which the Curia staff shared a meal together, marking the close of the year 2025 in thanksgiving and unity.
